Youth Choir Residency and Student Leadership Summer Program at St Stephen's House at Oxford
August 9-14, 2020
Choral Performance and Student Leadership Summer Program at St Stephen's House of Oxford
Students will participate in a week-long series that includes:
1. Choral Performance Residency with Guest Conductor Dr. James Jordan, a grammy-nominated world-renowned conductor
2. Seminars and workshops exploring leadership and skills development that they will be able to directly apply to their future college admissions process.
3. Closing Concert and Ceremony at the St Stephens House at Oxford University
Students are exposed to the three primary elements of a vigorous choral curriculum: vocal technique, musicianship, and performance. Singers will study with faculty in choral ensembles, master class settings as well as have the opportunity to take private voice lessons. Choral ensembles will explore music representing the music of different cultures, styles, and genres including the exciting opportunity to develop ensemble skills in accompanying choir chimes.
